Considered for Martha?

This article's BTS section says Ryan was "considered for Martha Jones", but Michelle Ryan says she was considered to be the companion after Rose. Is it that she was actually considered for Martha, or for another companion who, like season 4's never-materialized Penny, got changed into Martha? I remember adding that after seeing it mentioned in either a newspaper interview or possibly DWM - I believe it was in the context of her taking the role of the Bionic Woman after being turned down. Infobox needs updating

Lady Christina is featured in the current IDW storyline (whether as a villain or as a good guy we do not know yet).
