Ember was a planet colonised by humans before the 44th century. The Eleventh Doctor visited the planet when a ship containing his companions, Amy Pond and Rory Williams, began to plummet through its atmosphere. The Doctor visited Sardicktown and convinced Kazran Sardick to allow the ship to land. (DW: A Christmas Carol) When temporal shards landed on Ember, Clockwork Robots arrived the harvest the shards. Behind the scenes
- It is worth noting that although the name does is not mentioned onscreen in A Christmas Carol, it arises in the video game Worlds in Time. However, it was mentioned by name in the The Brilliant Book 2012.
