Carmen was an Earth opera. Having crashlanded on the Dalek Asylum, Oswin Oswald listened to its music which was recognised by the Eleventh Doctor, describing it as a 'lovely show'. An aria from it, "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle", once played in the Parliament of the Daleks. (DW: Asylum of the Daleks)
