References
- Jamie has been travelling with the Doctor for "years now."
- Zoe is described as being from the year 2000.
- The Doctor initially believes that the TARDIS has arrived in the British Isles in approximately 40 Million BC.
- Albert Marlowe gives the date as the 14th of Aphrodite 122 S.C.B. (Since Chairman Babs) in the new calendar. Although it is seemingly hundreds of years after Zoe's native time (the late 20th century), no exact date is given in the Gregorian calendar.
- Babs' official title is the Chairman of the World Federation of Womanhood.
Notes
- This audio drama was recorded on 21 and 22 October 2009.
Unproduced TV story
Prison in Space began as an unproduced serial intended to be part of Season 6 by Dick Sharples. It would have featured a female-dominated planet, previously used in another unproduced serial The Hidden Planet. It would feature Zoe Heriot starting a sexual revolution, before being brainwashed and then deprogrammed by Second Doctor, who smacks her on the bottom. It would also have featured Jamie McCrimmon in drag. The story was rewritten when Frazer Hines decided to leave and then again when he decided to stay. Executives were unhappy with it, but Sharples refused to rewrite and it was replaced by TV: The Krotons. [1]
Continuity
- Zoe refers to her encounters with the Daleks (AUDIO: Fear of the Daleks), the Cybermen (TV: The Wheel in Space, TV: The Invasion) and the Quarks whom they had recently met on Dulkis (TV: The Dominators) as well as the Yeti (TV: The Abominable Snowmen, TV: The Web of Fear), whom she has never been depicted encountering in any media.
- The Doctor and Jamie both refer to the Battle of Culloden. (TV: The Highlanders)
- Jamie would later disguise himself as a woman once again in November 1688. (AUDIO: The Glorious Revolution)
