This page should be merged.

It should be relocated at Earth because the fact that it's the same planet. The only only thing that separates the two is the name of the planet. But it simply temporarily changed names; it's still Earth.
Talk about it here or check the revision history for additional comments.

Ravolox was the name of Earth circa 2,000,000 AD. The Time Lords had moved the Solar System, including Earth, two light years through space - coinciding with the occurrence of a fireball hitting the planet, five hundred years before the Sixth Doctor's visit. A tribe of humans lived in what had been the London Underground, ruled by Drathro. (TV: The Mysterious Planet, TV: The Ultimate Foe)

The prophecy of the Vampire Messiah also used the name Ravolox for Earth. (PROSE: Goth Opera).

This was at least the second time that the Earth had been forcibly moved; it also occurred in the early 21st century. (TV: The Stolen Earth).

Behind the scenes

  • In The End of the World, which takes place in the year 5,000,000,000, Earth is once again orbiting its original sun and once again known as Earth, suggesting that at some point the planet was restored to its original position and given back its original name. This may have been done in the wake of the events of The Ultimate Foe; or, possibly, the events surrounding its movement were undone in the Time War. Journey's End reveals that a single TARDIS, operating at full power and in conjunction with the Cardiff Space-Time Rift, is capable of moving the planet.
