Dalek City
The Dalek City was the home of the Daleks on Skaro at the time of the Doctor's visit to the planet. It was an old city from before the Thousand Year War and the Daleks lived not in the city itself, but rather below it where they thought they were shielded from radiation.
The entire city ran on static electricity, and this also ran trough the metal floors, as Daleks required static electricity to power their casings. This made that at this time in their history they were unable to leave the city, and thus they were unaware that a group of Thals had also survived the neutronic war.
The city at one side had a natural protection in the form of a swamp teeming with horrible mutated creatures. Near the swamp was a lake where the Daleks got their water.
After the Daleks were destroyed, the Thals moved into the City. (DW: The Daleks)
- The Dalek City could plausibly have been the one created by the Daleks on the ruins of Dalazar, the former capital of the humanoid Daleks. (DC: "Genesis of Evil") It could also have once been the Kaled Dome. (DW: "Genesis of the Daleks")
