Lead here is extremely weak. If it's a "food found on Earth", why does the next graf immediately launch into their presence in E-space. Lead should have a link to the word onion at the very least, and should try to offer a definition from valid source.

Well it's found on earth per World War Three and apparently elsewhere as well. What do you mean by see also sections are lazy? Anoted ☎ 17:31, May 2, 2013 (UTC)
