Windsor Castle was a castle on Earth in Great Britain that was owned by the Royal Family. When the Doctor visited with Ace he mentioned the last time he had visited was when they were still building the castle.
In 1988 the Nemesis crash-landed close to Windsor Castle. By 1988 there is a painting of Ace hanging on the wall in the castle. (DW: Silver Nemesis)
