The Morass was an entity that inhabited the ice below Turlough's grandfather's castle. It infected the Fifth Doctor, which made him near noises. It created ice replicatant[statement unclear] versions of Nyssa and the Doctor. It was a sentient security system. (AUDIO: Kiss of Death)
