National Gallery was an art museum on Trafalgar Square in London. The museum had a secret annex, the Under-Gallery, which was constructed by Elizabeth I to house any art deemed too dangerous for public consumption. In 2013, during the The Doctor's twelth lifetime he was summoned to the National Gallery to investigate a disturbance in the Under-Gallery. (TV: The Day of the Doctor) Elizabeth I named the The Doctor as the official curator of the Under-Gallery while she was Queen of The Kingdom of England. This role was to still assigned toThe Doctor within the United Kingdom during his 2013. At the time of his visit it was being adminstered by The Curator.
