Shrieves or shrieves-at-arms were the guard force on Ribos. They were led by their captain and assigned to protect the crown jewels in the city of Shur.
They performed their duties with ceremony, but were not highly professional, known to accept a drink, sleep on duty, or talk among themselves rather than keep watch. (TV: The Ribos Operation)
