The "Dinosaur" was the nickname given by Finney to an unnamed species of huge reptile native of Skaro. A herd was used by Finney to rescue the Third Doctor from the daleks. These fought them, eventually killing some creatures. Latterly the herd was driven to the TARDIS (The Planet of the Daleks (comic story)).
