Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Video clarification

Illegal posts to YouTube are in no way "better" or "more legal" than file sharing. If anything, illegal YouTube posts are much more damaging to copyright interests, because of YouTube's ubiquity and ease-of-use. For this reason, we make no distinction between file sharing and illegal YouTube(eseue) posts.

T:VID LINK prevents us from giving specific links to YouTube or other similar services. Thus, we just can't help you.

Don't worry about your previous entry; it's totally fine. No one here thinks you're a bad person or anything like that. Within a short period of time, the thread will rotate out of "Recent Forum Activity" and be forgotten.

As a matter of pure administration, I needed to close the thread before it attracted people who posted links contrary to T:VID LINK. See, if they violate T:VID LINK by doing what they think is the helpful act of simply answering your question, then I'm obligated to block them. T:VID LINK offers no wiggle room, nor can it do so.

So I'd rather just not give people enough rope to hang themselves, yanno? Best just to close the thread and move on.

If it makes you feel any better, though, you're really not missing much. Aside from RP/BBV factual documentaries — specifically Myth Makers — there's nothing much of great value in their offerings. The audios are particularly bad, as compared with Big Finish stuff. And their video fiction is best forgotten.

Though massively important to the video-starved fans of the late 1990s, BBV today is best thought of as a curious back alley of the DWU. You may be interested to know that there is a wiki dedicated to their content at w:c:bbv. Because interest in BBV has naturally plummeted in the wake of the various BBC Wales series, it hasn't been particularly well-tended of late. But it still might be interesting to you.

I should stress again that you can buy most of these videos, still. It's not cheap, but if you're willing to put out $20-30 a piece, you can find sellers. Sometimes, they even come up on Amazon, as with Winterborne. Mostly, though, you have to go to specialist places.

By the way, this link should probably be your first port of call in trying to track these things down: http://www.timelash.com/tardis/search.asp?string=BBV&x=-1385&y=-115
