Talk:The Three Doctors (TV story)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

William Hartnell

it marked the return of William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton to the role of the Doctor (for Hartnell, the last time) I do not know much about the 'old series' (which I regret) but doesn't William Hartnell also appears in 'The Five Doctors'? --CGW 17:14, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

No, that was Richard Hurndall playing the part of the First Doctor. -<Azes13 18:49, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. --CGW 18:53, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
Well, technically, William Hartnell does appear, and is credited, in The Five Doctors — though it's obviously archive footage from The Dalek Invasion of Earth. The initial audience of T5D, though, wouldn't necessarily have known it was archive footage, because it was broadcast just at the dawn of the home video age, and TDIOE wasn't yet out on VHS. Thus, many might have thought that it was never-before-seen-footage of Hartnell. CzechOut | 16:49, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Extended plot

Is the extended plot on this page really necessary? It makes it nearly impossible to read. Tardis1963 11:21, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

TARDIS Interior

Prior to The Three Doctors, the TARDIS interior had not appeared since The Time Monster.

Why is this noteworthy? The Three Doctors is the first episode of season ten, and The Time Monster is the last episode of season nine. Tbug 00:14, January 27, 2011 (UTC)

Edits are needed for parts 3 and 4. At the moment about half of part 3's summary belongs at the start of part 4 (where it actually happened). I'll move it across shortly but it'll leave part 3 needing a proper summary. I'd do it myself but dinner's waiting and I'm sure others have watched the ep more than my measly once! 90.214.170.97talk to me 18:16, September 29, 2013 (UTC) HT

Timestream

Could it be mentioned precisely which part of their timestreams the First and Second Doctor are taken out from? --DCLM 20:20, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

It can only be mentioned if we know when they came from (in other words, if the story directly tells us). If we don't know, it's just speculation and can't be included. Shambala108 20:41, July 9, 2014 (UTC)
Well... The Virgin Missing Adventures novel The Empire of Glass states that the First Doctor is taken out of time between the stories The Time Meddler and Galaxy 4 but immediately before the novel, and by the means of conversation the Second Doctor have been taken out somewhere after The Invasion. --DCLM 09:43, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
