Telepathic contact

Telepathic contact was a Time Lord ability to form a telepathic link between multiple minds for high-speed conversations and decision-making. The ability was used by different incarnations of the Doctor (TV: The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors) or two versions of the same incarnation from different points in time. (AUDIO: The Wrong Doctors) It was also possible between two different Time Lords, (AUDIO: The Apocalypse Element, TV: The End of Time) as well as between a Time Lord and a human (AUDIO: Love and War) enabling one to erase the memories of another. (AUDIO: Afterlife) Once contact was made, knowledge gained by one mind was immediately shared with the others. (AUDIO: The Light at the End)

A similar ability was shown by the Doctor when his sixth incarnation on Space Station Camera contacted his second incarnation on Earth in the same time period, via the astral plane, but it is unclear if this was the same ability or a side effect of enhanced memory from past incarnations. (TV: The Two Doctors) Additionally, the Doctor's tenth incarnation connected with other minds, but this was not prefaced by speaking "contact" as was always done. (TV: The Girl in the Fireplace, Journey's End)
