SkyPoint

SkyPoint was a high-rise, high-tech apartment building built in Cardiff in 2008. It had 25 floors with 125 two- and three-bedroom en-suite apartments in all.

The project had been funded by the local criminal Besnik Lucca, who, in exchange for his finances, requested the penthouse apartment. He also had a major hand in the construction, ensuring it met his specifications.

Two elevators connected the floors of the building, one for the public to use and a service elevator that went straight to the penthouse.

The entire building was decorated in white, black and grey, even down to grey glass automatic doors at the entrance and black apartment doors with grey lettering indicating the apartment number.

Each apartment featured an open-plan lounge-kitchen-diner which featured a ready-wired High-Definition television. A remote operated the TV, window blinds and the dimmer lights. The kitchen featured intelligent lighting, a fridge that ordered food for you and an eco-friendly washing machine. The master bedroom of each apartment featured a super-king-sized bed, a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom.

Unbeknownst to the tenants, several security cameras throughout each of the apartments, including the shower and bedroom, were fed to screens in the penthouse, allowing Besnik Lucca to observe the goings on in the building. (TWN: SkyPoint)
