Hanson Galloway was a 19th century Scottish archaeologist and explorer.

Galloway stole the archaeological and geological research of Professor Edward Parton and published it as his own. He built a reputation on Parton's work, who was ultimately disgraced and committed suicide.

When Paul Anderton got appendicitis, he had to drop out of an expedition to Siberia and was replaced by Galloway. George Williamson, who had been a friend of Parton's and knew the truth, was disgusted that he had to work with Galloway.

Several days after the expedition started, Williamson and Galloway had an argument. Williamson claimed that Galloway attacked him with a knife, and while defending himself he hit Galloway with a tent peg which killed him. (PROSE: Time Zero)
