Monia was a guerrilla fighter and the leader of the human resistance opposing the Daleks from an alternate Earth future. He helped rescue the Doctor and Jo Grant from the Daleks. (DW: Day of the Daleks)

In the novelisation, Monia is renamed Moni. When the story was originally released on video, Monia was listed as Monica in the credits.
