Daleks sent an assassination squad through a time corridor to 1585 to kill William Shakespeare. Charley Pollard was able to readjust the corridor endpoint so the Daleks were unable to reach that year, preventing them from killing Shakespeare. (AUDIO: The Time of the Daleks)
