Lambert was the father of Kiron. He saved the Twelfth Doctor's life from robots in the Forbidden Zone, but he and his son refused to leave with the Doctor in the TARDIS as the Forbidden Zone was still their home. As a thank you to Kiron's father, the Doctor promised to protect Kiron whenever he was in trouble. (COMIC: The Promise)
