Dr. Twelfth's oldest adversary returns in a time-bending chase through Earth's history. Will the Doctor prevail, or will Missy finally have her day?
Plot
Using his TARDIS, the Doctor has been chasing Missy and her Vortex manipulator through time and space. The Doctor leaps from the TARDIS in ancient Egypt, and attempts to run after Missy. Before he can stop her, Missy has already stolen a scepter from a sarcophagus and has already disappeared into the Time Vortex.
Following her back in time to the Tower of London, the Doctor briefly saw her steal the Crown Jewels before again making the jump into the time vortex. The Doctor wishes that just once he could arrive early to a situation.
The Doctor follows Missy to Japan, where she has stolen a statue, but again he was too late and she vanished. As he arrives in Russia, he sees her flee with a jeweled egg.
Attempting to figure out what Missy would want with these items, he comes to the conclusion that the only answer could be that she was somehow trying to destroy the world. The Doctor then realizes that chasing Missy through time and space has meant that he has missed his lunch.
Chasing Missy on horseback in the Wild West, the Doctor fails to stop Missy from stealing a bag of gold dust. The Doctor arrived in Paris, having forgotten to leave his horse in the wild west. In the chaos of the situation, Missy manages to steal a diamond ring.
Finally the Doctor manages to catch up with Missy in the Stone Age, where he finally has been able to stop her before she escapes. The Doctor reveals that he knows that Missy had been stealing the jewels simply as a distraction from all of the Cybermats that she had been planting at every location, as he empties the bad of creatures that he had obtained by retracing their chase.
Missy is impressed, and asks the Doctor if he has solved her plan. Announcing that it doesn't matter and that he has saved the world, the Doctor heads back to the TARDIS. Vexed that she isn't being given the chance to explain her plan, Missy asks the Doctor what could possibly be more important than hearing about her plan. The Doctor replies "Lunch!"
