The Institute for Technological Advancement and Research in San Francisco, also known as ITAR, had made a beryllium atomic clock for the countdown to the new millennium. Professor Wagg worked there. Grace Holloway was on the board of trustees. (TV: Doctor Who)

Behind the scenes

Although signs for the Institute in the Doctor Who television movie show its proper name is the Institute for Technological Advancement and Research, it is referred to in dialogue as the "Institute of Technological Advancement and Research".
