Dogwood and his brothers Petaldew and Larkspur shot down Bernice Summerfield and Adrian Wall's shuttle, thinking it was a giant insect. They welcomed Benny and Adrian to their planet and invited Adrian along on their mission to defend their crops against the Duskflies. Benny's job was to provide the nuts that would neutralise any toxins from the Duskfly stings. (PROSE: You Shouldn't Have)
