Data bugs were a winged insectoid species that lived in the Jewelled City of Glude. After their home was left a flaming wreck by a Follyrood film director who organised its destruction for use in his upcoming film, the Thirteenth Doctor brought a black box full of the creatures to the film set and allowed them to avenge their home by destroying the film equipment.
