Inspector Gleave was the unlucky officer sent to find and arrest Agent 99 when he arrived back on Earth in the 33rd century. The capture of Agent 99 was part of a plan by Cabal, head of a secret council, that sought to bring back the Koth-Kulaar from its exile in a dimension warp so that it could bring havoc and destruction to the planet. In an attempt to avoid capture and to the Eleventh Doctor's disapproval, a fight broke out that left Gleave with a bruised face and a black eye and forced him to admit failure. (COMIC: Agent 99)
