"Sontar-ha!" was phrase used by the Sontarans, typically as a chant.

History

In 2009, aboard the flagship of the Tenth Sontaran Battle Fleet, General Staal rallied his men in performing the chant as the Sontaran invasion of Earth commenced. Luke Rattigan, a human collaborator, also joined in the chant. (TV: The Sontaran Stratagem) Soon after, Staal initiated the chant while speaking to the Tenth Doctor, much to his dismay as he used his sonic screwdriver to terminate UNIT's communication with the Sontaran flagship. Later, Staal and his men, demonstrating that they did not fear death, chanted even as the Doctor, now aboard the flagship, threatened to use an atmospheric converter to destroy them all. Ultimately, however, the Doctor's place was exchanged with Luke via teleport pod. As the Sontarans ceased their chanting, Luke exclaimed "Sontar-ha!" before activating the converter to Staal's lament as the flagship was destroyed. (TV: The Poison Sky)

Commander Kaagh, a survivor of the Tenth Sontaran Battle Fleet, exclaimed "Sontar-ha!" when he appeared before Sarah Jane Smith and her friends on Earth. He proceeded to utter the phrase on several instances during their confrontation. Shortly after Kaagh was knocked out by Chrissie Jackson, Clyde Langer exclaimed the phrase jokingly. (TV: The Last Sontaran)

Kaagh used the phrase as he took himself and Wormwood through a portal leading to Horath. (TV: Enemy of the Bane)
