Broadsword was the UNIT intelligence division founded in 1976 by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. It operated as a Special Ops elite unit. John Benton described Broadsword as UNIT's version of the SAS. (PROSE: No Future) The Doctor was an advisor to Broadsword in Guinea-Bissau in 2025. (PROSE: Thinking Warrior)
