Tarron (planet)
Tarron was one of the planets colonized by Humans after the solar flares of 10,000,000.
Astronomical Data
Tarron orbited a blue star and had a radioactive core. It had no native trees, meaning they had to be hydroponically grown. It originally had a native species, but they were extinct by the time of the Human colonists, leaving only a piece of jewelry. (VD: Tarnished Image)
History
Circa 10,000,000, the colonists left Earth for Tarron. Shortly after the planet was colonized, their leader (Akha Vorass) went into the wilderness of Tarron. Due to a combination of radiation and certain chemicals, he went mad and believed that Tarron was talking to him. He started the Vorassan cult and began killing and converting the colonists.
At this time, the Kephra came to the planet and saw the problems they were facing. They stopped the Vorassan cult and made the inhabitants immune to the radiation. Seeing that they had no government left, they founded the Azmec Corporation to take control. In order to cement their rule, they faked a holovid about them being given control of the planet by Hal Simvoa. They also produced some artifacts to add to their mystique; the Volumes of Garda and the Jewelled Headdress of Princess Maxtra.
Centuries later, the Kephra saw that the Tarronians could develop the technology necessary for a Holoprobe. With this technology, they would easily be able to see that the holovid was a fake. In order to stop this, they kidnapped Akha Vorass from the past with a Time Scoop and sent him to kill the top scientists in the field. They also developed Holoprobes of their own and denied all requests to reconstruct the old holovids. The Doctor and Dodo went in to investigate and were able to find the faked holovids. Following this, the Kephra were banished from Tarron and the Tarronian civilization started to suffer from the lack of government. (VD: Tarnished Image)
