Although not expanded upon in Death in Blackpool, Saint Annes most likely refers to Blackpool's real world neighbouring town of Lytham St Annes. In reality, Lytham St Annes consists of four smaller areas, including St Anne's-on-the-Sea - often referred to simply as St Annes.
