Talk:Time Ring
Wedding rings? Really?
Hold on a second. The wedding rings of Jason and Benny are time rings? Those big, chunky bracelet things from Genesis are wedding rings? The assertion doesn't make a lot of sense on the surface of things. Time Rings are totally the wrong design for a wedding ring, and their functionality, as described in various places on this site, seems quite different to what we saw them do in Genesis. Someone should really re-read Happy Endings — if anyone actually still has that book — to see how the rings are described. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 13:36, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- They're also on the cover of The Grel Escape. But also from page 184 of Happy Endings:
He slipped something off the unicorn's horn and handed it to the Doctor. "That's half my fee for allowing me to stay here." The Doctor took the item gingerly from Muldwych's hand careful not to touch the other man's flesh. he held it up to the light. It was a brilliant metal ring. A moment later, there was a flash, and it split into two versions of itself.
The Doctor tossed the two rings in his palm. "Time rings? Where did you get these?"
Muldwych sighed "As if I could tell you..."

Wedding Ring Chronology
The article currently says, "The Seventh Doctor was given time rings by Muldwych to give to Bernice Summerfield and Jason Kane for their wedding (PROSE: Happy Endings) until Dokien retrieved these wedding rings from Bernice and Jason, as mementos. (PROSE: The Collection) However, they still had their wedding rings after this point. (AUDIO: The Grel Escape)"
As someone who hasn't consumed all of Bernice Summerfield, what is the evidence that "The Collection" takes place before The Grel Escape? -- Noneofyourbusiness ☎ 11:56, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
