Aldgate tube station

Aldgate was a tube station located on the Circle Line. It was also located on another line, depicted in rose pink, on a map of the London Underground network. On the Circle line, Aldgate was located between Tower Hill and Liverpool Street. On the pink line, it acted as a terminus located south of Liverpool Street, though the line branched off eastwards between the two stations. It was located north of the River Thames. Aldgate appeared on a map of the London Underground network at the time of the London Event. (PROSE: "London Underground")

The Tenth Doctor once visited in pursuit of the Water Hive. (PROSE: The Feast of the Drowned)

Behind the scenes

  • The pink line which appears on the map in "London Underground" has yet to be named within the DWU. In the real world it is of course the Metropolitan line. The part of the line which branched eastwards later became part of the Hammersmith & City line, leaving the Metropolitan to terminate at Aldgate.
