Structure
The Grand Strategic Council was composed of: the Space Marshal, Field Marshal, Battle Marshal, Fleet Marshal, Group Marshal and Marshal. The members of the council including General Sontar survived over 600 successful battles. (AUDIO: Conduct Unbecoming)
This council was overseen by the Sontaran Imperator, usually called General Sontar. (PROSE: The Empire of Glass)
History
In the year 16,087, (AUDIO: Wirrn Isle) the Council sent Field Major Styre to Earth, in order to assess experiments on human specimen. The programme was preparatory to an invasion, eventually foiled by the Fourth Doctor, who made contact with the Marshal to inform him that, without Styre's report, they could not invade and that the details of their plan were discovered.
