Buchan Foster was a convict who was sent to a colony planet (later named Basingstoke by the Eleventh Doctor), and he became obsessed with exploring the jungle. He became infected with a disease that transformed him into a monstrous creature. The effects were undone when the Doctor reversed the gene splicer. (COMIC: Supernature)
