A. S. Lloyd's Euxesis was promoted as shaving cream without the need for use of soap, water, or a brush. It was sold by hair dressers, chemists, and perfumery stores in London in the 1890s.

Euxesis was produced by Aimée Lloyd and Co., a company run by A. S. Lloyd's widow Aimée Lloyd. By the 1890s, the business had been purchased by R. Hovenden and Sons. (TV: Deep Breath [+]Loading...{"timestamp":"00:32:41","1":"Deep Breath (TV story)"})

Behind the scenes

Euxesis was a real product.[1] The newspaper prop(s) featured in Deep Breath seem to have pulled their contents from real historical newspapers.
