Behind the scenes
- There wasn't a University of Darlington at the time of the original broadcast of Time-Flight. Even as of 2019[update], there is no such place — although there is a campus of Teeside University in town, opened in 2011. The BBC's Legal Department had run a negative check to make sure both Professor Hayter and the University of Darlington had no real-life counterparts.
