Greedo

On 6 May 1997, a television broadcast of "Greedo firing first" was among the channels which were intercepted and played briefly on the Eighth Doctor's TARDIS scanner. (PROSE: The Dying Days)
Behind the scenes
Greedo is a character from the Star Wars franchise. Cindy's suggestion of the name comes following the naming of Han, Leia and Chewie.
Greedo made his on-screen appearance in the 1977 film Star Wars, later titled Episode IV: A New Hope, in which he was shot dead by Han Solo, who originally fired before Greedo could. However, the 1997 Special Edition controversially amended this scene so that Greedo shot first at Han, who dodged the blast before shooting Greedo. The mention of "Greedo firing first" in The Dying Days is a reference to this.
Greedo also appeared as a child in a deleted scene from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (1999).
