Why is this up for deletion? Surely everyone needs a handly list of Ice Warriors by name? Tardis1963 06:06, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
- Czechout's reason for putting it up for deletion, as noted in the page history, is "unnecessary, given Category:Individual Ice Warriors does the same thing." Personally I disagree, I don't feel it's any less valid than the other list pages, such as List of Individual Time Lords. Additionally, as noted by all the redlinks here, some significant data would be lost by deleting this page. Rob T Firefly 07:14, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
- Not really following the logic, but I do want to. How is the presence of red links a rationale for keeping this? Surely that's an argument for trashing it? Who wants a list dominated by pages that don't even exist? Are you thinking that because there's a list of red links people will suddenly be more inclined to start those pages? A list has to give us something beyond what you can get from the category — and red links don't cout because they're nothing. I mean, if it were Ice Warriors by media, or by rank or in some way had a point of view, that'd be one thing. But just a list? I mean what's to stop someone from making List of known humans? Or, worse, List of known individuals. A list that doesn't try to organize the information in some way just isn't worth having, because, again, that's what we have categories for. If this were done in a tabular format, and if it were List of Ice Warriors by media, and if you had a column for name, a column for actor (where applicable), maybe threw in artist (where applicable), writer, and work, I'd be all for it. In other words, make it a source of information and that delete tag will be gone in the Master's heartsbeat. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 11:18, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
