Name?

I don't remember anyone calling him "The Gentleman". Where did that come from? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hath57 (talk • contribs) .

The end credits, I believe — which are a valid source for character names. That being said, I think the lead is getting ahead of itself in describing it as the man's "chosen sobriquet" — if nothing else, even if we accept that's the name he's primarily known by in-universe rather than merely contextual, it could very easily have been a nickname given to him by somebody else and which stuck, rather than a nom de guerre he deliberately picked out for himself.
