History
In 2006, Mickey Smith read, on the Guinevere website, that the Guinevere probe was being sent to Mars for soil samples, and he became suspicious of the true purpose of the probe after the website said that the probe has "stuff about talking to aliens" on it. (PROSE: Mars)
In 2059, Mia and Peter Bennett used samples of Martian soil to grow plants such as asparagus, green beans and turnips. Chemicals had to be added to soil in order for the produce to overcome the harsh environment of Mars. (TV: The Waters of Mars)
