The Grange was a large stately home situated in Staffham, Devon.
Rumours persisted for years that it was haunted by ghosts. Eventually, a scientist from the year 4000 named Jalnik moved in with his butler named Butler. They began using technology to create ghosts and alter the timelines in preparation for the arrival of more humans from the year 4000.
The Fourth Doctor and Leela arrived and investigated the Grange with Charlotte Willis. They uncovered a portal and used it to travel forwards in time to the year 4000.
When the Pantophagen arrived on Earth, they arrived in the Grange and destroyed it. The Doctor and Leela defeated Jalnik and stopped the Pantophagen, altering the future but leaving the Grange abandoned and ruined once again. (AUDIO: The Foe from the Future)
