George Gallaccio (born 23 December 1938[1]) was production unit manager for several Doctor Who television stories in the 1970s under Barry Letts and Philip Hinchcliffe. He was also the BBC management's first choice to produce Doctor Who following the departure of Graham Williams in 1980, but turned the offer down.[2]

In The Brain of Morbius he played the "Morbius" Doctor immediately following William Hartnell's photograph.

He shared his memories of his Doctor Who career on the 131st and 132nd edition of Big Finish's charity podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round.

Career

He later became the producer of several programmes for the BBC, including a number of televised Miss Marple mysteries and the detective drama series ''Bergerac''.

Personal life

He is married to Maureen Morris, who voiced the Eight Legs in Planet of the Spiders.
