Golithan Spiney Back Beetles were beetles from the planet Goliatha.
Upon discovering one of the creatures in the TARDIS control console, the First Doctor and Susan suspected that it was the cause of the TARDIS's malfunctions. The Doctor attempted to return to 1963 London following its removal only to instead wind up in 1601. (AUDIO: The Hollow Crown)
