Hey all :)

Now that all infoboxes have been converted to portable infobox code, and it's required that new infoboxes also be written to the same standard, it's important that we change our minimum image widths.

As explained (and illustrated!) at T:IBOX PICS, 420px is a good minimum width because this is pretty much as wide as most phones get these days. Heck, if you wanted to be an overachiever, you could even futureproof against widening phones by choosing to make your personal minimums 500px!

I know that some have been worried about how to achieve this larger width while keeping under the 100kb filesize limit. It's super easy! Most image editing software allows you to turn down the image quality a little bit to achieve lower filesizes at a quality reduction most people can't perceive. If you don't have access to image editing software, consider using online services.

Of course neither Tardis nor FANDOM can recommend such a thing to you, but I personally have had good results with http://tinypng.com -- a site that compresses both .png and .jpg files. Other similar services are of course available.
