When the First Rani detailed her plan to prevent the extinction of the Dinosaurs through the use of a Time Manipulator, the Seventh Doctor listed Mrs. Malaprop as being among the individuals who would have never existed if such a plan were to succeed. (TV: Time and the Rani)

In reality, Mrs. Malaprop is a fictional character in the 1775 play The Rivals by Richard Brinsley Sheridan, though no reference to her fictional status is ever made within Time and the Rani.
