Multiple exercise bikes were also present in the underwater prison pod where Li Cheung, Melissa, Miss Clark, Jill, Yuriko, Janet, Rachel and Vijay were each serving their sentences, with these bikes being used to generate a portion of the prison's power. Li Cheung had been using one of these exercise bikes when the Third Doctor and Jo Grant arrived at the pod, and the power generated from the bikes were subsequently used by the Doctor to deactivate the anchors holding the pod (and thousands of other pods of a similar nature) to the ocean floor.
