Talk:Attack of the Graske (video game)
I'm being deliberately provocative and controvertial here, but is this story 'canon'? Discuss!

- I dunno, but it certainly shouldn't be listed under "Television stories". Ben Standeven 22:03, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, the more I think about it, the more it seems to qualify as a pastiche rather than a canonical television story. I'll be making the appropriate changes.

- I'm not sure that I agree that it's a pastiche (though I know what you're getting at). I would suggest, due to its interactive nature, that it would be more appropriately categorised as a game (just like the various other Who computer games).

- I would agree that it would seem more suited to being considered a game --Amxitsa 20:23, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

- Billie Piper (Rose Tyler) does not appear in this story. For this reason among others, the canonicity of this story is in dispute. Many do not regard it as an "official" television story. However, the Graske would later reappear in The Sarah Jane Adventures story Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?, lending credence to their canonicity.
- The first sentence of this seems especially troubling to me, as the story explains where Rose is. If anything, her absence helps to move this story towards canon, not away. It gives the Doctor motivation to look for a new companion. The adventure doesn't take place without consideration of Rose; it only occurs because she's gone. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 00:59, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Online version?
I believe there was a online version of this episode from the BBC before it was taken down off the website. Can this be added? Are they any other version available online to get the full experience beyond the Youtube vids? Zidel333 20:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- I played/watched it online, so yes, there was. 75.88.50.115 02:39, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Info from "Attack of the Graske" reused in Sarah Jane's Alien Files (impact on validity?)
I was about to edit the article on the planet Griffoth, and I saw this world and the source it originated in were considered non-canon—or rather "invalid"—by the community. However, the first episode of the Sarah Jane's Alien Files not only mentions but also shows Griffoth. (It also confirms it was one of the 27 stolen planets that were removed to the Medusa Cascade, but that's another story.) In light of this, I think we should at least reconsider the status of that source. --Lelal Mekha (Parlour) 22:27, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think that's enough to warrant a re-evaluation. It's not surprising that they've been consistent and gone with Griffoth and the Medusa Cascade bit is irrelevant. The reasoning behind its invalidation still stands.--Skittles the hog - talk 22:48, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
removing continuity
Since we don't allow Continuity sections on NOTVALID stories, I'm moving the items here. Shambala108 ☎ 02:55, July 27, 2016 (UTC)
- Sarah Jane Smith met similar creatures to the Changelings. The Shadow People also imitated the appearence of other creatures. They also looked exactly like them. Only when they were angry they were recognisable and had red eyes, similar to the Changelings who were recognisable through their green eyes. (AUDIO: The Shadow People)
DVD Release
I can't find any evidence of this being on any series 2 box set. Template:Untitled
- I've looked through the booklet included with "Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series" and can see no mention of it in the special features. Unless someone can find a source, I will remove this statement from the article. Bongo50 ☎ 23:00, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
