Gavin's father was the alien father of half-human Gavin. Around 1997 he mated with a human woman, creating Gavin. Unwilling for his people to come looking for Gavin, whose home was Earth, he gave his wife a bio-damper to give to Gavin before he returned to the planet of which he was king.
