Talk:Eternal Dalek

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

On this page it states that the Eternals function is unknown, while on the Supreme Dalek page it states the Eternal Dalek rules the Moffat Daleks. Which information is true? 81.153.170.145 19:10, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Black orbs

Why was my edit regarding the black orbs on the Eternal Dalek removed? I am sure it is of some significance, and is definatley noteworhty. I don't understand why it was removed when the speculation concerning the the Emergeny Temporal Shift wasn't. Explain! Explain! EXPLAIN!! HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 00:22, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

All of the Progenitor Daleks have black orbs none of them have silver ones! Liamhenney 15:58, April 28, 2010 (UTC)Liamhenney

Actually, HellKaiserryo12 is correct -- the Eternal has completely black orbs, while the other four New Paradigm Daleks have orbs that are a dark gray/silver colour, more or less matching the collar. (Look at the episode - around 22:43 for example, where you can see all five - there's a definite difference in colour) Lee Horrocks 16:19, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

City of the Daleks

Pretty sure this guy is the only Progenitor Dalek not to appear in City of the Daleks.

Yes, I agree. I've already written this on the City of the Daleks page, but it should be mentioned here too. HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 19:22, June 5, 2010 (UTC)
A scientist Dalek
The only yellow shaded dalek in the game is a Scientist Dalek, I have provided picture evidence. Therefore the Eternal never appears in-game. HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 13:35, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
what? Eternal is yellow lol. it could be another variation, may not be the exactly the same Dalek, but its definatly yellow and therefore an Eternal Dalek. The Scientist Dalek is orange and no orange Dalek appears in the game, so all but the orange Daleks are seen. Ooiue 13:43, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

I said yellow shade. The scientist Dalek is more of a dark yellow than real orange. You can clearly see in the photo it has grey orbs, not black ones. The Eternal has a nuch more striking yellow with black orbs. This is the Scientist Dalek. HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 14:17, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

that was probably a ingame error or something. look at the photo, its definatly a yellow dalek. you cant judge it isnt one by the orbs and the colour is far too yellow to be the scientist dalek as the science dalek was a lot more orange whereas this barely has any orange, if that in it at all. trust me, its a yellow Dalek,Ooiue 14:25, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Of course it isn't an error. Scientist Daleks seem much more suited to the role than Eternals of guarding the room anyway. Take a look at some of the other images of "Orange" daleks around the site; you will see they are more yellow than orange. The Eternal is a very bright yellow, and definatly not that colour. You can't just say it's an error that it has grey orbs. We don't know that, but I know that this Dalek is a Scientist. The name "orange Dalek" isn't even official, whereas Scientist is. This Dalek looks much more like a Scientist than the almost neon yellow Eternal. HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 14:30, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Daleks are Daleks, doesnt matter what role they take. The new Daleks obviously take a specific role, but this Dalek is yellow. its also possible that this Dalek is a variation of the Eternal Dalek but somehow improved by the Daleks, in which case, neither Eternal or Scientist appeared. However, the Scientist Dalek was never seen on the loading screen as the Eternal one was. plus the shadows obscure some of the lighting and on the Dalek ship in VoD, the ship lighting was very bright.

infact, because of the shadows obscuring the lighting, its really hard to tell which Dalek it is. for all we know, the orbs are black and the lighting is too dim to make it stand out at all. it may look orange to anyone seeing immediatly, but a very close look and you can see the yellow. and also, look at the middle bit just above the sucker and gun, its yellow. i would think that with that yellow, the rest would be so therefore its an Eternal Dalek.

but its impossible to tell anyways -.-Ooiue 14:36, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

I agree that the lighting obscurs it. However, if you look at pictures of the Eternal, the grey mid section is a different colour to the orbs, whereas on the Scientist they are the same colour. Regardless of the lighting, this Dalek has the same colour mid section as its orbs. HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 14:39, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

its too difficult to tell. it is my opinion its Eternal and yours Scientist. im settling on that. they made the lighting too awful -.-Ooiue 14:41, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Scientist me thinks!

The one in game is the scientist :P i annoyed it and lured it to the window.. definatly is the scientist :D orange and silver bull balls, doubt they would put the eternal in.. seeing as no one has a clue wha

Two Drones

Still maybe its sme crazy time/travelling/intelligence dalek : maybe one will survie go back in time screaming dont invade earth dont invade earth :O dalek empire will go boom!!! and walaaa daleks survive while the doctor forgets about it :P as it'll never happen :D more explosions more extermination and everyones a winner :D

P.S. Wanna be a dalek plox! Daleks players vs cybermen wannabes ftw

[Paul J Sutherland]

<<< Scientist :P

like i said, it is difficult to tell, even at that angle. i also said in my opinion its Eternal, plus from where i am standing and all the pictures and the amount of time ive seen it, i can definatly say its the Eternal. Just because we dont know the Eternal's function, doesnt mean the producers wont put it in. you forget, this was made by who have no idea what the Eternal Dalek is used for either. plus i cant see any window in that shot -.-. and the enitre corridor its in is dark the same shade :/Ooiue 11:00, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
