Throughout the history of Doctor Who and its adjacent spin-offs, several stories have attempted to present you as the protagonist of various stories. Some of these characters were intended to be directly analogous, with the Doctor interacting through the fourth wall directly to you. In other cases, specific characters have been created for the reader to "role play" through. In some cases, some novels have even presented you as being the Doctor.

This page will attempt to present a list, in order of release, of all pages which might correlate to the various incarnations of you.

• Dinah - the main character of 1986's PROSE: Search for the Doctor, who joins Drax to try and save the Sixth Doctor.
• Human (Attack of the Graske) - the main protagonist of 2005's GAME: Attack of the Graske, who the Tenth Doctor takes on a journey to stop the Graske.
• Human (Double Danger) - a nondescript individual asked by the Fourteenth Doctor to solve a spot-the-difference puzzle with an in-universe framing.
• Companion (Worlds in Time) - the customizable character in the 2011 MMOG GAME: Worlds in Time, who is an assistant to the Eleventh Doctor and was either a human, a Silurian, a Catkind, or a Tree of Cheem.
• Readers of whoisdoctorwho.co.uk - in primarily (but not limited to) the website Who is Doctor Who?; Clive Finch, Mickey Smith, and David Roberts all asked the readers of the website to submit their anecdotes of fictional in-universe events and to play browser games.
• Readers - in the A Letter from the Doctor series, the Doctor writes letters to the readers of Doctor Who Magazine.
