Who's landing patterns were those outside of Amy's house? Anybody recognize the marks? V00D00M0NKY 06:58, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

If the alliance were true then the Nestine would be the most likely so it could analyse and absorp the materials. They don't look like anything seen before; there were two patterns so two 'legs' on the ship?

To me though they look like Bill and Ted type marks from their phone booth. Two visits. Jack Chilli 07:02, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

It could be a Dalek, as the shape is similar to the base of a Dalek? 220.237.124.247 07:03, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Burn marks (Landing pattern) ouside of Amy's house.

I was thinking underside of a Dalek as well, but they seemed too small when I saw it. BrainySpecs 07:05, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

And now that I said that, I take it back. That appears to be a garden-ish vine area, not regular lengthed grass, so those could be burn marks from a Dalek pretty easily. BrainySpecs 07:16, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Shape of a Dalek, OK. But why would the Daleks leave burn marks? They don't land in that sort of fashion, they teleport. And I don't know if they would've gone through the door by knocking it down the way it was. Had to have been something that can squeeze by. V00D00M0NKY 07:18, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Well now, they also fly. I don't really see that as an issue, as they could have teleported to the yard and materialized in the air before landing. But good point on the door. Even if we concede that they could have just busted through the door and it happened to fall back into the doorway, I can't see them maneuvering around the house (particularly Amy's room, which looked small for River to walk around in). The old ones couldn't have done that, and these new ones are bloody huge. BrainySpecs 07:39, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Is it just the lighting or do the scorch marks look like blue grass? = silurians? 86.26.137.154 07:52, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Good catch but still I don't think they would end up leaving burn marks. In that graveyard it was just differently colored grass and as far as I can tell if it was them, it would be something like a patch of dirt instead of grass where they came up. V00D00M0NKY 07:55, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Also, I think the blue in this shot is just from the flashlight. BrainySpecs 08:00, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
The way the front door was positioned kinda makes it impossible for it to be Daleks by themselves as it looks as if it was kicked in and Daleks being Daleks they would've just vaporized the door and gone in. But if you mean they just stood there while something else went in that would work too. 92.0.134.177 08:22, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
And now I take that statement about the light back. Looking again, the flashlight is white and the blueness is the same shape as the burn marks, just slightly wider. Almost feel like it's meant to look like Dalek marks over the Silurian mineral grass, but that doesn't make much sense. But then, I don't really think a lot of things about the Alliance make sense anyway. I think at least some aspect of it has to be fakey, and this may just be one aspect of that. does this mark appear anywhere else in the series?? 217.23.232.194 08:38, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
I think that you're all being total doofuses over the blue grass thing. It's not significant and you're clutching at straws. Imagine this. You are head of the art depertment - Moffy Has said he wants alien

My impression of a post-it which could have been given to Art by Production.
'landing' marks on the grass. A Quick sketch is given to you on a post-it note (like this one by me) giving you a brief idea of what the burn must look like. The Question: How are you going to produce it?
My answer: The same way they did it. It is obvious that these marks were spray painted on. Starting with a splodge of white spray to make it look like the surrounding grass has been burned to a cinder then using a stencil and black spray paint for the charred bit. Obviously, white spray paint on grass in the rich, dark blue night (according to Van Gough) with unnatural studio lighting isn't quite going to be the same colour as real burned grass at night time.
To me, the black shape is obviously a change in depth of whatever is in contact with the ground, and as the shape seems like it has been designed for traction, I would guess that the marks are very hot boot prints from something with very fat feet - a Sontaron, a Judoon, a Cyberman, Aunt Sharon?!
